{"id":13932,"date":"2026-04-01T15:35:22","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T12:35:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.joroinen.fi\/wellbeing-and-health\/health-supervision\/"},"modified":"2026-06-02T12:35:59","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T09:35:59","slug":"health-supervision","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.joroinen.fi\/en\/contact-details\/environmental-services\/health-supervision\/","title":{"rendered":"Health supervision"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The health supervision services for the municipality of Joroinen are produced by the Central Savo Environmental Services, a joint unit of the municipalities of Hein\u00e4vesi, Joroinen and Lepp\u00e4virta and the towns of Pieks\u00e4m\u00e4ki and Varkaus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tasks of health supervision include, among others, food control, monitoring the quality of household and bathing waters, condition monitoring of public premises, inspections of dwellings when a health hazard is suspected, and supervision under the Tobacco Act and of nicotine products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When to contact the health inspector?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contact the health inspector, for example, in the following situations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-dg-list-plain\">\n<li>You suspect you have got food poisoning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You want to complain about the quality of foodstuffs or packaging labelling, or about a company that handles foodstuffs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are establishing a new food premises or the operator in a food premises is changing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are planning to alter or renovate food premises.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You need advice or guidance in drawing up an in-house control plan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You suspect the quality of well water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are establishing a new beauty salon, tattoo or piercing premises, gym, accommodation premises or other activity under Section 13 of the Health Protection Act.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You suspect that moisture damage to a dwelling or another factor is causing a health hazard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You want information about a pest insect found in food or in a dwelling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"dg-spacer tiny\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-bottom-right-border-radius-big is-style-content-paddings has-warm-gray-light-background-color has-background is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-1668845b wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50)\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact details and offices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The contact details of the health inspectors by office, as well as the visiting addresses, can be found on the Central Savo Environmental Services website.
