{"id":14695,"date":"2026-06-15T10:47:58","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T07:47:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.joroinen.fi\/work-and-entrepreneurship\/summer-job-voucher\/"},"modified":"2026-06-15T10:47:58","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T07:47:58","slug":"summer-job-voucher","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.joroinen.fi\/en\/work-and-entrepreneurship\/summer-job-voucher\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer Job Voucher"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Municipality of Joroinen<\/strong> continues to aim at supporting young people&#8217;s self-directed search for summer jobs.<br>The purpose of the summer job voucher is to encourage young people to seek summer work independently and actively, and to encourage employers to hire young people for summer jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The value of the summer job voucher is 250 euros<\/strong>&nbsp;and it is intended to cover part of the employee&#8217;s wage costs for the employer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the summer job voucher, a young person born in 2008\u20132012 and living in Joroinen can seek summer work, for example from a company, association or organisation that has a valid business ID.<br>The employer does not have to be from Joroinen, but the workplace must be located in Joroinen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A young person can apply for only one summer job voucher, which can be used for <strong>one<\/strong>&nbsp;summer job during the summer.<br>The application period for summer job vouchers runs until 31 May 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/e\/jjgtv3EHj9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><mark>APPLY FOR A SUMMER JOB VOUCHER<\/mark><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conditions for receiving the summer job voucher:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The young person was born in 2008\u20132012<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The young person lives in Joroinen and is officially a Joroinen-resident pupil or student<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The summer job voucher has been applied for through the electronic form by the deadline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conditions for granting the support:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The employee is a pupil or student born in 2008\u20132012 and living in Joroinen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The employee has applied for the summer job voucher from the Municipality of Joroinen by the deadline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The employer has a valid business ID and the place of work is located in Joroinen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The wage paid for the summer is at least 500 euros<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A written employment contract has been made for the employment relationship. The contract must include the guardian&#8217;s consent if the employee is under 15 years of age<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The summer work has been carried out between 1 May and 30 September 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The employer applies for the summer employment support with a separate payment application from the Municipality of Joroinen by the deadline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Instructions for the young person:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Familiarise yourself<\/strong> with the conditions for receiving the summer job voucher<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fill in the summer job voucher application<\/strong> using the electronic form if you meet the required conditions\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The summer job voucher will be sent to you by email<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>You can receive only one summer job voucher<\/strong>, which you can use for only one summer job during the summer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Seek summer work<\/strong> from a company \/ association operating in Joroinen. Tell the employer that you have a summer job voucher, with which the employer will receive a 250 \u20ac summer employment support for hiring you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Make an employment contract<\/strong> with the employer<ul><li>If you are under 15 years of age, your employment contract must include the guardian&#8217;s consent<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tell the employer that, as a condition for receiving the summer employment support, the wage must be at least 500 euros for the summer work period<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agree with the employer on the summer work tasks, schedules, pay and important practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working period 1 May \u2013 30 September 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Start your summer job <\/strong>according to the employment contract and carry it out carefully and with a positive attitude. A summer employee with an active approach and attitude will surely be hired again!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The employer pays your wage for the summer work period.<\/strong> The summer employment support is paid to the employer afterwards, following a separate payment application and reporting.
