Veterinary services
The municipality of Joroinen is part of the Central Savo Environmental Services, which produces veterinary services on a regional basis. The municipality of Joroinen participates in terms of veterinary care and health supervision.
The Central Savo Environmental Services is a joint unit of the municipalities of Heinävesi, Joroinen and Leppävirta and the towns of Pieksämäki and Varkaus, which began operations on 1 January 2009. The unit operates under the Central Savo Environmental Board and its host municipality is Leppävirta.
On-call service
The veterinary on-call service operates outside office hours in the evenings from Monday to Thursday 16.00–8.00, and at weekends from Friday 16.00 until Monday morning 8.00. The on-call service also operates during public holidays.
