Wellbeing of older people
The wellbeing of older people is a broad whole that is affected by physical functional capacity, mental wellbeing, social relationships, safe housing and sufficient income. Meaningful activity, participation in communities and timely services form the basis of a good life and everyday living.
Safely at home project
The North Savo Wellbeing Services County and Savonia University of Applied Sciences have launched the joint Safely at home project.
The aim of the Safely at home project is to strengthen the safety of living at home and the functional capacity of older people. The project is aimed at people over 74 living at home, their relatives and close ones, and those working with older people. The aim is to provide support and information that encourages older people to strengthen the safety and wellbeing of their home on their own initiative.
