Joroinen Water
The water utility’s task is to supply high-quality drinking water to its customers and cooperatives. The sewerage utility’s task is to efficiently treat wastewater from households and other properties.
The Joroinen water utility has two groundwater intake plants. The wastewater treatment plants are located in Kirkonkylä and Kuvansi. The municipal water utility’s operating areas are mainly limited to the urban centres. There are nine water cooperatives operating within the municipality, and the water utility supplies drinking water to all but one of them.

181,745 m³ of drinking water was pumped from the intake plants, and the billed water volume was 187,627 m³. 118,710 m³ of wastewater was received, and the billed wastewater volume was 117,944 m³. 52,721 m³ of water was sold to cooperatives.
The taxed price of drinking water in the urban centre was €1.78/m³ (VAT 25.5%), and the price of wastewater was €3.25/m³ (VAT 25.5%). The price of drinking water billed to cooperatives was €1.46/m³ (VAT 25.5%).
Plant operations continued in their established manner. The quality of the drinking water met the health and technical requirements set for it. The drinking water is medium-hard. The wastewater treatment plants met their set treatment targets.
