Joroinen looks after the learning and skills of its residents by offering children and young people high-quality early childhood education, basic education and safe, supervised afternoon activities after the school day. Lifelong learning is supported by the Soisalo Institute, through which residents have the opportunity to pursue hobbies, study and develop their skills at different stages of life.

In Joroinen, sports and wellbeing services support residents’ wellbeing and an active everyday life. Diverse outdoor and indoor sports facilities, along with Joroinen library in the village centre and the regional mobile library Jasso Toenperä, also provide services to sparsely populated areas and to Kuvansi.

Supporting young people’s working life and jobs

In Joroinen, young people are offered support for their first steps into working life. The municipality promotes the employment of young people by offering jobs, summer job opportunities and guidance with job searching. In cooperation with various actors, young people are encouraged to be active and helped to find their own path in working life.
