Harbours and boat berths
The Municipality of Joroinen is located in a great spot for boaters and anglers, on the shore of northern Lake Saimaa.
In addition, extensive and fish-rich waters can be found in the Maavesi–Sysmä–Paro water systems. These water systems have several harbours and boat berths maintained by the municipality or other operators.
Joroinen harbour (formerly Haapalahti harbour)
Water system: Saimaa, Haukivesi, Joroisselkä
Location: About 2 km south-east from Highway 5, from the so-called “Jari-Pekka ramp”. Signposted from Lentoasemantie, Lentokentäntie 107.

Boat berth regulations
- No equipment may be built on the boat docks, structures or in the boat harbour without permission from the technical committee, and goods may not be stored on the docks. Unauthorised structures will be removed from the dock berths.
- The holder of the boat berth is responsible for removing waste and for the general tidiness of the boat berth.
- The boat must be moored so that the holder of the adjacent berth can reach their place without obstruction and so that the boat does not knock against the neighbouring boat when it moves.
- The Municipality of Joroinen is not liable for damage occurring to boats in the boat harbour.
Reservations
Boat berth reservations are made through the office secretary.
Reservations valid until further notice remain in force unless they are cancelled annually by 15 March. Boat berths are invoiced at the end of March. New boat berth reservations can be made throughout the year.
Charges are valid for the calendar year (Technical Board 26 September 2024, § 66).
